A fun skill-filled partner drill done in a defensive crouch with the addition of tennis balls.
Skills Develops stamina and strength in lower body and increases hand-eye coordination and quickness.
Players Players partner up
Instructions Two players face each other 3-5 feet apart. Each player has a tennis ball in hand. Players take a stationary defensive crouch, and toss the tennis balls to each other. Toss balls shoulder-width apart, knee to waist high, and parallel to each other. Run the drill about 2 minutes.
Variations Progress to defensive crouch. Shuffling base line to base line.
Substitute: a basketball and do chest passes.
Tips Don‘t let balls cross each other. Keep the balls shoulder-width apart, knee to waist high, and parallel to each other.
